Publishing
This page describes what happens after an article is accepted.
Volumes and numbering
ExSil publishes continuously. Articles are numbered in order of publication, and each calendar year forms one volume, beginning with Volume 1.
Archiving
Each accepted article is archived on Zenodo, in the Examen Silentii community, as a journal article with:
- the final manuscript as a PDF, and its source files;
- the journal title, volume and article number;
- the CC BY 4.0 licence;
- links to the open review on GitHub and to the archived test materials.
Zenodo assigns the article its DOI, which is the permanent reference for citation.
Citation format
Surname, G., & Surname, G. (Year). Title of the article. Examen Silentii, Volume, Article N. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.0000000
Responses
A published maintainer response is archived in the same way, with its own DOI, and linked to the article it answers in both directions.
Corrections
A correction is published as a new version of the Zenodo record, with a dated notice describing the change. Earlier versions remain available.
